Making an overlay from existing images

You can also produce an overlay from artwork that you have previously scanned in. The artwork should have been scanned in twice, each time backed with different colored sheets of paper:

  1. Choose File > Make Overlay.
  1. In the dialog box displayed, enter the name of the first image, and click OK.
  1. In the next dialog box displayed, enter the name of the second image, and click OK.
  1. After the second scan, ScanBackground compares the two scans and displays the resultant image in the Splice Window.
